Public Health Nursing & Public Health Issues

Just had to share an interesting education module I was required to complete as part of my Nursing Therapeutics class. It made me think further about the link between allergies and pollution. While there are many factors that contribute to worsening allergy symptoms, this education module definitely had me consider a link to global warming (as well as the importance of addressing the issue of global warming). According to Gross-Davies, "increased temperatures and ground‐level CO2 will increase plant metabolisms and pollen production" (p. 18). I find that it becomes harder to ignore an issue due to it's interrelatedness to some other issue we face in our world today.
